Educational Counseling Services

Through the use of various career assessment tools, a student's aptitudes and interests are matched to possible majors/careers.  Knowing this information will empower students to make some of life's biggest decisions confidently.

Fee covers the assessments, research, and two in-person or virtual consultations. The first consultation includes a "get-to-know-you" conversation and pre-assessment instructions and the second consultation focuses on reviewing the post-assessment results. 

Consultations may be in-person or virtual.  

Payment in full will be due at the time of the first consultation.

This package includes five (5) in-person or virtual consultations,  all career assessment and college fit parameter tools, specialized and targeted research based on the student’s desired college fit factors and results of their career assessment, access to The College Beacon's software/research tools, and creation of a balanced list of colleges. 

The five consultations include:

• Career Assessment (two consultations as outlined above) 
• One consultation to determine college fit factors (includes college fit parameter tools)
• One consultation to present the personalized balanced list of colleges, accompanying data, and next steps in finding your right fit college 
• One consultation to review student's college research and identify up to 10 colleges to add to the student's final list

Consultations may be in-person or virtual. 

A signed contract and at least 50% of the package fee will be required before commencement of services; the remainder of the package fee may be paid in full upfront or be paid in a second installment before the 4th consultation to present the personalized balanced list of colleges. 

This package would cover all career assessment testing, college exploration, and application services for up to 10 colleges and up to 25 supplemental essays, honors, and/or scholarship essays for the ten colleges. This package includes, but is not limited to, the following educational consulting services as outlined below and includes all in-person and/or virtual consultations for the student and/or their parents/guardians and access to The College Beacon via Counselmore messaging functions and email. 

o Career Assessments

o SAT/ACT testing timeline, recommendations for test prep resources, 

    and test score submission recommendations depending on 

    college’s testing policies

o Research to create an initial list of colleges to explore/research and

   assistance to finalize a balanced list of ten colleges to apply to

o Access to Counselmore software and associated research 

    tools/resources

o Resume and/or common application activity list development  

o Guidance on how to seek scholarships 

o Letters of recommendation guidance (who to ask, how many)

o Determination of how to apply to each college (early decision, early 

   action, rolling, and/or regular decision) 

o Creation of timeline/deadlines for college application submissions

o Brainstorming, reviewing, and editing of the common application 

   essay, and up to 25 supplemental essays, honors, and/or 

   scholarship essays for the ten colleges (each additional essay, 

   above the 25, will be charged a fee equivalent to 50% of the current 

   hourly rate of The College Beacon at the time the essay will be 

   submitted as part of the college, honors, and/or scholarship 

   application)

o Completing applications (common application and/or 

    school-specific)

o Mock interviews, if required for application/scholarship

o Strategies if waitlisted/deferred and assistance brainstorming,

    reviewing, and editing a Letter of Continued Interest, if allowed

o Comparison of financial aid packages 

o Guidance to make final decision by National College Decision Day

    of May 1st 

A signed contract and equal monthly payments from the date of the signed contract until October 31st of the student's senior year; first payment due before commencement of services.

 This package covers all of the services outlined in the Comprehensive Junior/Senior Year Package in addition to earlier career/college exploration and college list creation, curriculum guidance, and summer programming beginning sophomore year. 

A signed contract and equal monthly payments from the date of the signed contract until October 31st of the student's senior year; first payment due before commencement of services.

This consultation will cover an overview of how to maximize a student's four-year high school experience. 

Payment in full will be due at the time of the first consultation.
